Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 6 wickets in IPL 4

Royal Challengers prevail on Kochi Tuskers' IPL debut

Bangalore prevail in Kochi's IPL's debut

Kochi Tuskers Kerala were given a tough initiation to the IPL, as Royal ChallengersBangalore chased down 161 without a lot of trouble at the Nehru Stadium in Kochi.AB de Villiers smashed five sixes in a 40-ball 54, steering the chase home with a comfortable eight balls remaining.
Kochi have had multiple management problems coming into this tournament. A happy debut seemed on cards with Brendon McCullum and VVS Laxman putting on 80 in nine overs after they elected to bat. Mahela Jayawardene called 160 as the score he wanted and they finished at 161. Local hero S Sreesanth then dismissed Bangalore opener Tillakaratne Dilshan in his first over.

Rajasthan Royals beat Deccan Charges by 8 wickets

jinx on their home ground continued as Rajasthan Royalsdefeated them by eight wickets to get their campaign in the fourth season of the Indian Premier League off to a winning start. The Chargers are yet to win a match they have played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal.
Amit Paunikar got Rajasthan Royals's run chase of 138 off to a flier as he hit the first two deliveries of the innings bowled by Pragyan Ojha to the boundary. Paunikar then hit the best pace bowler in the world, Dale Steyn, for a couple more boundaries in the second over as the Royals looked to make short work of the comparatively small target as they raced away to 19 for no loss.
